Security Clearance Form
Security clearance enables individuals to have access to confidential, secret, or top secret information within the company or agency for which they work. The individual's employer must authorize the security clearance request through the Department of Defense (DoD). In order to be considered for security clearance, a security clearance from must be completed. When completing the security clearance form, the individual will have to divulge both personal and professional information. This information will be used by the DoD to determine if the individual is an acceptable security risk.
After reviewing the security clearance form, the DoD will determine if the individual's request for security clearance will be approved or denied. If the security clearance is denied, based on the information submitted on the security clearance form, then the individual will receive a Statement of Reasons (SOR) from the DoD. The SOR will detail the allegations against the individual that led to the denial for security clearance. The individual will be given the opportunity to respond to these allegations.
