Security Clearance Investigations


Security clearance investigations are conducted by the Department of Defense (DoD) in response to individuals submitting applications for security clearance. Security clearance investigations are conducted in order for the DoD to determine the trustworthiness of those requesting access to sensitive information. This sensitive information pertains to issues of national security; therefore, the DoD is selective regarding the individuals allowed access to this information.
